Master Hyeon Cheol Kim began his Tae Kwon Do training at the age of nine. He continued to train through middle school and high school by competing with his schools’ sparring teams. Master H C Kim began his first job as a Tae Kwon Do instructor right after graduating high school. He continued to develop his teaching skills by serving as a Tae Kwon Do instructor to other soldiers while enrolled in the Korean Army. Upon completing his army training, Master H C Kim worked as a Little Tiger’s instructor for elementary school students for five years before moving on to get his Bachelor’s degree. He graduated from Korea’s Yong-In University in 2006 majoring in Tae Kwon Do. In that same year, on the recommendation of one of his professors, Master H C Kim moved to Buffalo, New York to study under four-time US National head coach Grandmaster Sun Chong. Master H C Kim worked as a Master Instructor at Master Chong’s World Class Tae Kwon Do schools for six years further honing his Tae Kwon Do teaching skills.
Now Master Hyeon Cheol Kim dedicates his teaching expertise and Tae Kwon Do experience to bringing the benefits of Tae Kwon Do to the local community. We at Master H C Kim’s Tae Kwon Do Center realize the lifelong impact a great teacher may have on a student. Our classes and instructors blend fun with discipline and patience with enthusiasm to create the best learning environment. Master H C Kim and his staff are dedicated to helping each student draw out his or her personal best.
